Probation

The Indiana County Probation Department shall protect the community by supervising adult and juvenile justice involved individuals. The supervision shall be based on individualized evidence-based risk/needs assessments, through treatment, education and court-imposed conditions.

Adult

The adult probation division serves the Courts of Indiana County, Pennsylvania by providing community-based alternatives to incarceration, improving public safety and promoting positive behavioral change from individuals on supervision.  Through individual assessments, direction and assistance, most individuals can become contributing members of the community.

Juvenile

The juvenile probation division provides direct supervision to juveniles from the age of 10 to 21 who have committed delinquent acts under the age of 18.  Individual assessments are routinely conducted to determine the risk/needs of the juvenile.  Supervision is individualized and designed to help the youth make positive decisions that will give them the confidence and skills to avoid future illegal behavior.
