Domestice Violence Task Force
The Mission of the DVSA is the enhance our community through a proactive and collaborative effort to end violence, both domestic and sexual. We are committed to fostering a safer, more comfortable environment by developing and maintaining effective relationships among key community agencies and partnering to promote community awareness, support and outreach to those who experience violence. We are guided by the core values of integrity and respect for all persons. The Task Force meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Suicide Prevention Task Force
Combining with local agencies to develop a statewide coalition with strong regional presence. The combined efforts of many individuals can make a difference to help prevent suicides.
Reality Tour
Reality Tour is a patented, evidence-based, family drug prevention program presented by the Blairsville Support Group. Designed to bridge the communication gap between adults and youth, Reality Tour shares educational information about substance use disorder through videos, a peer-pressure skit, local speakers, and dramatic scenes. This community-based drug prevention program is designed for the entire family.
Drug Information Panels
Partnering with the Drug Task Force, Armstrong Indiana Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission and other local agencies to hold an open panel discussion about drug activity in local areas. These forums are open to the public.
